Caveat emptor (let the buyer beware). The experience of having James Robinson handle my ex-husband's funeral was scandalous, shameful, and quite embarrassing. Do not let sorrow and the loss of a loved one put you in a place of vulnerability to handle the business of planning a funeral. Do not give permission to release the body to the James Robinson Funeral Home from a hospital or a morgue. Peace of mind will be given by choosing a reputable and established local funeral home.

Reasons to not do business with James Robinson’s Funeral Home: unethical business practices, mortuary standards, and funeral protocols; negative professionalism and customer relations with families; lack of confidentiality and sharing of private information with non-immediate family members; non-disclosure of meeting family at funeral home physical location; distributed death certificate to a non-family member (deceased girlfriend); and, non-transparency of business (e.g. – incorporation status within the states of NY and NJ, website, and online. This funeral home and James Robinson hustled the funeral of our loved one and it was the worst funeral ever experienced or witnessed.

Full-service funeral homes offer everything from burial services to cremation services. They often sell caskets, urns, and other memorial products. Their cremation prices are generally higher than direct cremation providers.

Direct cremation providers often operate out of simpler offices and work directly with the crematory to provide lower-cost cremation services for families in the community. Since they have lower overhead costs, cremation costs and immediate or simple burials many be less expensive than full-service funeral homes.
