Carl Hoeckner Jr. was a poet, author and well-educated individual. Carl was a Sargent in the U.S. Army during World War II. He spent most of his life in Chicago. He also lived in Berkeley and Hemet California, and Manteno, IL.
His father, Carl Hoeckner Sr. was a well-known artist whose works have been displayed at the Smithsonian, Art Institute of Chicago and other venues.
