Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home

My husband passed away suddenly last October; we lived in Florida for 30 years. I was devastated. My family wanted me to move back to RI, so I took the leap, sold our home, packed up and moved back to where I was raised. I brought his ashes with me. He always said he wanted his ashes at the VA Cemetary, but I did not want to leave him in Florida, so, to honor his wishes, I contacted the RI Veterans Cemetary. They said I needed to go through a RI Funeral Home in order to make the arrangements. The Nat'l Cremation Society of Clearwater, Fl. gave me the name of Urquhart-Murphy in Warwick. When I called I spoke to Mr. Murphy directly, he was so understanding and compassionate. He said for me not to worry, they would take care of all the arrangements for me. I was so impressed by how accommodating they all were. From Mary Beth, the Office Mgr. who let me cry when I needed to, and Matt, who was extremely helpful with all the details and all my questions. He was amazing. Even after a delay when I was sick for 2 weeks, he said not to worry he had everything under control. I brought my husband's Ashes to the funeral home and even though Mr. Murphy was extremely busy that day, he took the time to sit with me and answer all me and my sister's questions. When I left my husband there along with his military hats and some photos, I knew he would be in good hands. The service was scheduled for Nov 3 at 11AM Matt even arranged for a Priest per my request and full Military Honors. The service was perfect. Even Mr Murphy attended along with Vincent and a Black Car and Black Hearse. I cannot say enough how much I appreciated all of their efforts in making this as smooth as possible for me and my family, I highly recommend Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home.
