215-295-7725The J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel has been in business since 1923. It was owned and operated by J. Allen and Rita Hooper. After Mr. Hooper's death, Rita sold the business to Peter J. "Jack" Soltis, Jr. in 1978. Jack had served his internship with Mr. Hooper, and was familiar with the town and Mr. Hooper's philosophy of giving back to the community. We sponsored the 1955 Little League Championship Baseball Team, and continue to be their sponsor. We also support Morrisville High School, Holy Trinity School, as well as many other organizations and clubs. The funeral chapel was first located on Pennsylvania Ave., however, in 1983, Jack had the opportunity to move the funeral home to a better facility on Trenton Avenue, where we continue to this day. The consistancy of our staff is a tribute to the dedication that we have for our families. Ken VanAken worked here from 1945 until his passing several years ago. Steve Ullrich has been with Hooper Funeral Chapel since 1988. It is our honor and priviledge to serve the families of Morrisville, Yardley, Falls Township, Lower Makefield Township, and our surrounding communities.

Attention to Detail
We recently had a funeral for a family member at J Allen Hooper. I cannot express the caring and attention to all details that Steve and the staff provided for us. During times as these so much is happening and it was a comfort to know that things we would have overlooked were not do to the attention to all details that the funeral home provided. The facility was a very comfortable place that had many small places for family to gather. The DVD playing with the photos allowed us to even smile during a very sad time. Thank You Steve and Staff!
Outstanding Personal Service
I want to thank Steve for all that he had done for me, the accommodations that he made, his kind demeanor and patience.
Steve is irreplaceable and a wonderful face to put on Hoopers. The website and technical accommodations made it particularly easy for someone planning a "bi-coastal" funeral.
Steve truly came across as a friend at a time of need. As the person in charge, I can say that he satisfied me beyond my expectations. I knew what my mom would have wanted and would have been proud of me doing and what was delivered.
I wanted to share how much I think of Steve, his approach and his service. I have been meaning to send my sentiments for months and I am finally getting to it.
Great at using Technology
I was so happy with the Hooper Funeral Chapel. They provided a qr scan code in the obituary that went right to a web page created for my mom. In addition, the register book was completely personalized, including pictures that I provided to them. They provided a DVD utilizing all of the pictures that I gave to them, had mom's website online where people could see not only the DVD presentation, but a video of the services as well. They gave me a free memorial candle, and gave every family member a FREE guardian angel lapel pin to identify all of the family members. It was the most perfect funeral that I ever attended, and was proud that I could provide that level of service for my mom.
